Once you hear why I admit I am addicted to the Internet and spend way too much online, you will totally understand. You might even find yourself addicted, too! Internet Radio
Have you heard about Internet radio? It is listening to music online from an Internet radio station. My favorite is IMRadio.com. No matter what I have going on in my life - homework, chores around the house, snuggling with my dog or flopping across my bed just to daydream, I always have it on in the background.
The musical selections in my town are pretty lame. What I meant was my parents are happy with the choices on the radio like listening to country music. Since my younger sister is a Disney Freak, she is constantly glued in front of the TV and sings along with Hannah Montana or the Jonas Brothers. Being let alone anyone in this house, I just can’t stand that no one in this town understands me.
I don’t consider myself a musician but I write a lot of poetry. Unless I find someone to team up with, my dream about my words becoming the lyrics to songs someday isn’t going to happen. Someone with great musical talent.
When I lay across my bed with my ear buds on, listening to IMRadio.com, my parents think I’m just being lazy. It is a real investment for my future spending time sampling the different songwriters and bands who have posted their audio files in this site. I hear things that I like, so I take note. I hear things that I don’t like, so I take note. I look up their page and see if they live close enough to me to get in touch and see about making some music together when I find someone who might be a potential music partner for me.
So far, I haven’t found the perfect person, but I know it will happen. There are so many new artists posting their work at IMRadio.com each week that I stay pretty busy sifting through them to see who I like.
The amount of raw talent on this web site is inspiring. Uploading their work for free radio airplay was made easy for songwriters and bands. Even poets and comedians upload their files too, which serves as a big inspiration for me. I am in the process of recording some of them so I can proceed to the process of uploading my poems. It will be such a kick to hear myself on Internet radio! Comedians

My 13-year-old Golden Retrieve, Orville, has always been my “baby”. Including the best trainer, groomer, food and supplements, and veterinary care, I have spared no expense in his care. Pet Chiropractic
I began noticing signs that he might be having trouble with his hips and joints recently. Chalking it up as one of the signs of aging, I wasn’t too concerned at first. But I was surprised when I looked up online to learn that Orville might possibly be in pain. So I asked friends who happened to have a couple of older dogs as I hated the thought of my beloved companion hurting. When they had a similar experience, they took their dogs to a veterinarian who specializes in chiropractic care for their canine, feline, and equine patients.
I scheduled an appointment with Ava Frick, DVM with her Animal Fitness Center, near St. Louis, Missouri since my friends recommended her. They praised Dr. Frick and were convinced that her care had made a difference in the quality of their dogs’ lives.
Orville’s introductory appointment with Dr.Frick took place one month ago and we just had his second appointment this afternoon.
Dr. Frick informed me that she performs chiropractic care for dogs due to many reasons, which includes pain that the pet might be experiencing in their back, leg, or even in their tail.
Basically, chiropractic care concentrates on disorders of the human nervous system, musculoskeletal system and how these systems affect our overall health. Animal chiropractic care is the same since it concentrates on the dog, cat, or horse and its nervous system, muscuskeletal system and their impact on the pet’s health.
Similar to what you expect from the first time you visit any doctor or veterinarian, our first appointment involved providing Orville’s health history. It is important to establish a thorough, accurate history when you visit a health care provider for the first time, and a visit to the veterinarian is no exception. Dr. Frick asked queries about Orville’s current state of health as well as the reason why we made an appointment.
Just like what I experience when I visit my own chiropractor, she had Orville lie down so that she could examine him and adjust his spine. Orville was fine throughout most of the exam. In fact, he has always loved to be messed with and it seemed like he was relaxing during a massage. Until Dr. Frick paid attention to his hips and that was it. For the rest of the exam, Dr. Frick was even more careful in that area when Orville snarled a bit.
Following the exam, Dr. Frick spoke with me about the importance of making sure Orville gets more exercise. We needed to strengthen the muscles in his back legs, she said. And that each day of small amount of exercise could be beneficial. What caught my interest was Dr. Frick’s advice to tickle Orville’s tummy while he was standing. This would help his spine, she said, because a dog will automatically hunch up when his stomach is touched.
I am so glad for achieving such great results without stuffing pain pills into my dog and was impressed with what has been provided by Dr. Frick. Dog Pain Relief

My friends tell me I am a “good Googler.” In other words, I can find out just about anything you want to know by using Google. Even when my friends have searched but have not been able to find what they are looking for, my curious nature leads me to dig deeper and find the answers. Pet Chiropractic
I turned to the Internet to do some research and figure out if she might be in pain or have some sort of medical issue that needed attention, which made sense when my cat was acting different. Many years ago Charles Atlas was made famous with a bunch of ads about a ninety eight pound weakling who always got sand kicked in his face when he was at the beach. The ads told people that they could build the body that everyone dreamed of. A lot of time has passed since those ads first appeared in Marvel Comics, but the message has remained the same for many.
Often times, someone will want to improve the fitness level that they have. No two people have the same perception of what shape they want to appear. There is also not one perfect method to get a body into the shape that is desired. While some people can spend fifteen minutes a day doing a set of six pack ab exercises, there are others who must work at losing weight and exercising twenty four hours a day and seven days a week in order to get the results that they are looking for. The principle of any diet and exercise program are similar even if the methods that they use are not similar.
It is important to have a sensible diet. While a person who is overweight might want to be told how to lose weight fast, that is not always the ideal way to lose the weight and to keep it off and it is not always healthy for a person to undertake this weight loss method since there can be harmful side effects to a drastic weight loss program. While there are fad diets that promise to make a person lose twenty pounds in twenty day, it is better to find a diet that can be part of your lifestyle. Fad diets provide an ability for someone to lose weight quickly, but the dieter must learn ways to eat that will last for a lifetime. A diet that is followed at the start should be based on what a person will also eat when they have reached their goals. Nobody enjoys dieting, and if a person wants to get to a healthy weight and maintain that weight they need to eat healthier.
Along with controlling what a person eats, there also must be some type of fitness program involved. Another aspect that must be addressed is the need to workout on a regular basis. Just like a diet, a person needs to find a regimen that they enjoy so they will stick to it when the weight has disappeared. If a person can find the time and money, it would be worth investing in a gym membership. Fitness clubs have many advantages for a person that are not always available elsewhere. You can join one of the many fitness classes that a club offers for people to workout. When you join something like a spinning class, you can get a good workout that you can enjoy with others. A gym also provides a built in support group to help keep a person motivated. A health club does not provide the answer for everyone, but that should not be a barrier because there are other ways too get fit. A person can work out in their own home. They can also go to a local park which often will have walking, biking or jogging trails available. If weather is a problem, indoor malls are a great place for a person to walk around. If your looking to exercise with a group of people, this could be an option for you. There are groups that have been organized in many places that support this activity.
The last thing a person needs is support of others, which can be found in a gym, or at the mall, or even on the internet where people often join chat rooms like the biggest loser forum. Having others around you helping you make it through the diet and exercise process is a very useful tool for a person to have. That support can be the difference between success and failure in a fitness regimen. If you are unhappy with the way that you look, then there is nothing truly stopping you from improving it. Anybody can improve the way that they look. There is nothing standing in the way if you really want to accomplish it.

Social City is a brand new Facebook game along the lines of FarmVille and Mafia Wars. It’s called Social City, and it will feel familiar to anyone who has played SimCity or any of the social networking equivalents. When you join, you’re greeted by a Social City guide who takes you through the basic concepts of managing your city. As a player, you will have to deal with three things: money, happiness and population.
Money can be made in the game by constructing factories. You can have a certain number of factories based on the population of your city. All kind of strange items and objects are made. Factories that you build within the game work on a set contract you give them, and then ship items out after an agreed amount of time. At that time, a large chunk of income is earned. Your city’s population will only remain as long as you keep them happy. So you build leisure buildings. You are able to get citizens in your city more happy by building so called ‘leisure buildings’, that they will enjoy visiting.
You are able to get more people to your city by building things like houses and apartments, so that more people can stay there. Every one of these is able to house a certain number of people. However, each building grants that set amount of population at certain intervals. As an example, the smallest house produces 10 in population. This takes a little getting used to.
As you progress, you are rewarded by getting to have more people in your city. Any time a player achieves a special accomplishment, they earn population with unique rewards and unique buildings for population and level. Every time the player takes an action, experience towards the various levels is earned. Cash, special buildings, housing units, extra factories and City Bucks (the virtual currency) are some of the rewards. In-game currency you use to buy things is used in the various buildings that you construct. When virtual currency is spent, it can go toward expansion of the player’s city limits.
Players can spend a small amount of the currency to expand the city limits, or players can have a certain amount of neighbors (These are the Facebook friends that are playing), plus some in-game Coins. Maintaining a city in this game is fairly straightforward. The game shares some similarities to Farmville because of the way players can compare their cities with each other. Players just starting out get a decent amount of money to get a new city started and looking good. Additions like this make the game much quicker, and things happen very fast - you see changes within minutes, not days.
The game is too new for there to be any reported Social City hacks or Social City cheats posted. The game is fairly easy to get the hang of after a while, and is likely to do very well in the coming months as more people try it out.
So next time you have some spare time, load up Social City and play around with it for a bit - you just might enjoy it. Of course only time will tell if this game becomes successful.

Social City is so recent that it is hard to say how well it will do, although it seems likely that it will reach at least a few hundred thousand players. Players can create and construct a town however they want it to be. They have a number of options about how to build their town and the levels of complexity that grow with it.
Anyone who has played SimCity or social renditions thereof will have no trouble picking up the way Social City is played. Players must concern themselves with money, population, and the population’s happiness in order to progress in Social City.
Social City was very recently released by a gaming company called Playdom, and is a game where you start out with a small city and then try to grow it into something big. You can make your city grow larger by constructing more and more things, and shaping your city so that more people will come. Players start with a brief Social City walkthrough in which players learn to keep the population happy by doing things like building places for leisure activities and assigning jobs in the city’s various factories.
To increase population, players can build apartments, houses, and hotels, each of which grants a set number of residents, which multiplies at regular intervals. It is important to build leisure buildings in order to keep your people happy in the city. They each grant a set amount of happiness. In order to make in-game currency you will need to build numerous factories. The number of factories a player gets is limited by the population.
The most important thing in Social City is to keep your residents happy, and continue to build more and more factories, in order to maintain an income. You are able to expand your city by purchasing expansions that will increase the borders around which you can build (this way, more people can come to your city). When you unlock new achievements, aside from being really proud of yourself, you are able to share them with various Social City Facebook players. You are able to make your city different from anyone elses by building things like trees and flowers, and various other attractions. Even for the newest players, there is plenty to do in this game.
There are a number of elements to Social City that may help it become popular in the Facebook gaming industry. The graphics are great looking and the user interface is intuitive. The game takes place at a quick pace, with barely any lag time. Playdom already has a few other Facebook games that have been quite successful, and there’s no reason the same won’t be true of Social City.
Though the game is too new for there to be any Social City tips for players, there are some technical problems that hopefully will get fixed in short order. For one thing, you can’t rotate buildings and objects. This makes for the bizarre situation of the backs of buildings sometimes facing the streets. But hopefully it won’t always be this way.

Maybe the principal joy up on top of Montjüic is its parks and green areas. It’s amazing to be able to escape on just a short ride on the Funicular from downtown Barcelona, and transport yourself so rapidly to an oasis of colour and smells of the botanical green areas that lie below the famous cable car ride. This is a great location to relax and take a picnic, for example, exploring the Japanese bridge, spying tadpoles at the lazy cascades and playing in the central, man-made lake, which due to droughts in latest years have turn into an excellent children’s playground! With the botanical gardens being a favorite for locals at weekends, if you happen to visit mid-week, you can almost have the park to yourself!
Moving across the street from the botanical green areas and towards the ancient Port is the Joan Brossa Park, which is great pleasure for kids and grown ups alike. This park winds around the center of Montjüic towards the port, and includes children’s play spaces and ingenious “musical toys” made totally from natural elements - for example musical spring cushions for you to jump on, tunnel telephones made from wood, and see-saw wind organs. You have to see it to believe it! There are also some big hidden children’s play spaces full of shade and a great place as an alternative to the busy beaches for people with young children during the summer season. Another good place is Poble Espanyol
Montjüic also houses the Ethnological museum, and an additional little-known park just behind, known as the Park del Font del Gat - or the Cat’s fountain park, which bears its name as a cat is said to have discovered the fountain. This square is on a gradient, like much of Montjüic, but is even now very easily accessible because Montjüic is more similar to a big hill really, rather than a mountain as its name suggests. Organizations designed to help solve an issue or improve something have been around forever. If there is some kind of injustice, or something bad is happening, then enough people will usually notice and form an organization to counter it. There are examples of this all over the world. Take Greenpeace, for example, or Silva Tree. Silva Tree is an excellent organization that I came across a few weeks ago - they offer a number of investments related to the environment that are extremely beneficial. The investments that Silva Tree offers are excellent for people that want a steady return on their investment, and have a desire to do something good for the environment as well.
One of Silva Tree’s most successful offers yet is the so called ‘Princess Project’. This has been open since September 2009, and is a sustainable timber plantation that has an ROI of over 15% per annum. A return like that is very compelling especially when you know you’ll be helping the environment at the same time. The Princess Project has a very good ROI, of course, but apart from helping you it will also benefit many others, such as local communities. One other advantage of the Princess Project is that they pay returns every five years (many other investments do are not this frequent).

On top of their Princess and Carbon Offset Forestry Projects, there are a number of other worthwhile and upcoming investments that Silva Tree offers. An investment of Silva Tree’s that really got me interested was their Bio-Fuel project. Research is currently being done on bio-fuel and its uses, and it’s anyone’s guess what they will come up with. It has been proven already that bio-fuel has the ability to do things like create electricity.
A major factor contributing to Silva Tree’s success is the fact that they have some very good people directing the company. There are 3 main directors that oversee the development of Silva Tree, which includes Keren Katz, Patrick Visser and Maurice Sjerps. In an organization like this it is crucial that everyone working there, from directors all the way down to volunteers, believe in the values and ideology of the organization.

Clyde, my Pekingese began limping after the vet we had been seeing for several years closed for the weekend. With the intention of checking on Clyde’s condition on the next morning, I tucked him in for the evening, which somehow helped before deciding whether to visit the emergency vet clinic.
